Sad face … for now

Sad face … the end of the VFL & VFLW season for the Cats and with that, the end of 2019 for goFooty.Live.

We have had great fun bringing you all the action from the 27 games we have covered this year, with almost 15,000 individual “listens” throughout the season.

Our thanks go to our sponsors – goRadio.Live, Wilsons Wine Tours, The Wine Bunker, GB Foods, Bonney Energy, Mount Moriac Pub, Geelong Masters AFL, Strawberry Seed Consulting, Enso Homes, The Cats Shop, Music Workshop, Jack Of Trades Furniture, Geelong Linemarking, Newcomb Sand & Soil Supplies and Jovic Accounting. Their support has been invaluable in our set-up year and we look forward to their support in 2020.

To my colleagues in the commentary team – Rob, Josh, Sean, Alyce, Paris, Nathan, Paul and even our mate Dave from Port Lincoln – your enthusiasm and professionalism (as amateurs!) has been exceptional.

To the people from the Geelong Cats who made our job easier – Nathan, George, Tom and, of course, the players and coaches who were happy to be part of our adventure – thanks for letting us play too. And a special mention to the world’s best sporting photographer (well, our favourite one anyway) – Arj Giese – thanks for letting us use your skills and products to promote our coverage. We owe you a feed at the Mount!

And finally – and most importantly – to you our listeners. We do our broadcasts for you and hope that you have as much fun as we do. We don’t profess to be great callers but we do our best to create what one of our listeners describes as “rollicking fun” whilst giving you some idea of what is going on the footy field. Thanks for listening and telling your friends about us too.

A special mention amongst our listeners to our number 1 fan – Kate’s Nanna, June. We love hearing from you during and after the broadcasts!

Not that long to wait and we’ll be back. Tell your friends to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and we’ll keep in touch during the summer.

Thanks everyone

Neil – on behalf of the goFooty.Live team.
